THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG)
The Maranatha Church Doncaster is part of a worldwide network of churches known as the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The history of RCCG began in Ebute-Metta area of Lagos, Nigeria in 1952 through divine revelation to the late General Superintendent, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye took the mantle of leadership and became General Overseer in 1981. Under his leadership, the church grew from a modest 1000 parishes in Nigeria to become one of the leading Pentecostal churches in the world today with presence in over 190 countries and territories around the globe. The RCCG is very active in the United Kingdom with about 800 parishes. Our activities are coordinated by the RCCG UK Central Office. Our Involvement In Maranatha Church Doncaster, we are earnestly expecting the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to make ourselves ready for Him. Meanwhile, as we obey His command to “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13), We are set out to spread the love of Christ in our community. Through imitating the life of Jesus we reckon to see hope restored, lives transformed and ultimately destinies fulfilled. This way, everyone can realise the purpose for which they were created and we can cover the earth with the glory of God. We are focused on teaching the undiluted word of God, prayer and practical Christian living as opposed to religion.
